Should i give it more juice?

So i got a new Corsair GS600 Power supply. First reason being i want higher overclocks. But that wasnt possible somehow...

I decided to investigate on the topic...

heres my BIOS settings:-
Ref Clock :- 270
NB Multi:- 10x
CPU MultiL- 12x
NB Voltage:- 1.45V
CPU Voltage: 1.45V
HT- 2000MHz

Now even though my CPU voltage is 1.45V when idle, it goes to as low as 1.376v when in load and 1.4 when in load. (refer to graph)

This is an RMA'd board so my prime suspect is that the mosfets are poop.

Furthermore, when i use core disabling feature and OC each core individually, i have seen core 1 and 2 can be taken to 3.9GHz stable, together, but cores 1/3 or 1/4 wont budge past 3.4ghz.

Previously on the original board i used to crunch at 3.6GHz all cores 24x7(cheap 10$ PSU)

so... can i put 1.5V on this?

The board is poop off of the assembly line. I believe many have mentioned this in the PII OC'ers clubhouse to you already. Also, don't bump your thread so quickly. It's rude and I'll remember this if you do it again.

To sum up... You can RMA your board 9000 times and it will still be the same model that isn't sufficient for overclocking.

but but, it was better before!!! i hope the PSU i got isnt poop as well

Sure, Corsair is great, but not the GS line. I would prefer a used 1year old HX, or even a VX to a new GS.

I put 1.475v with Load Line Calibration through my 4GHz PII X4 955BE C3 on my 2yo+ Crosshair III Formula and it hasn't burned up yet. I even got 300MHz on the reference clock with that CPU when my C2 could only do ~265. I've been as high as 1.55 (No LLC) on air but the CPU seemed to start taking a crap at that voltage and it wouldn't read right through CPU-Z and such.

It basically stabilizes the core voltage by running more current through the CPU under load. I find that you can usually run 25-50mv lower on the VCORE with it enabled, as the CPU won't be dropping to 1.376v in your first post.
