System Specs

Thanks!

Performance per dollar shows that the 'good' units are all low Wattage and that all the high Wattage have bad performance per dollar. Should we start to make SLI or CrossFire PSUs?

this is the case because there is a huge cap in prices between low wattage and high wattage units and also nowadays even the affordable units boast good performance (at least the ones we have tested so far).

Also from a performance level and beyond, if you want to see higher performance then you have to pay a disproportionately higher cost.

That's more complicated than it looks... for example, the SeaSonic Platinum 1000 is poor bang for buck according to that chart, and I agree. Reason being the rather new Zero-Phase Shift topology. It's expensive to make, so the unit costs $260 while not offering the best bang for buck. On the other hand, a PC P&C Silencer 910 that uses traditional double forward primary cost $130 AR. Older topology, but has lower ripple and transients than the SeaSonic with pretty good regulation (the SeaSonic regulates the best).
