Dont completely understand but you can use it via USB if that's what you meant, otherwise if you are asking will it fit inside the notebook possibly as long as the notebook accepts the same size drive

Seconded on the WTF.

That aside, there are two possibilities where I can see this questions being asked:

1) Will the drive inside the HDD SAMSUNG M2 750GB external drive fit into a notebook if you crack it open, and extract the drive. The answer: maybe. The drive size is likely the same as a notebooks. They should be SATA, because 99% of the notebook market is, and the only thing special about an external drive is that a chip exists to convert SATA to USB.

2) Will the entire drive be able to be squished into a notebook's HDD storage slot. No. This is a foolish idea for two reasons. The first is that SATA is several orders of magnitude faster than USB. The second is that your notebook is not a Tardis. Those that understood that joke weep at our collective nerdiness.

So, yeah. You have to clarify what you are asking if you want us to offer a real answer...

I get it but I am British also edited my reply as for some reason I had that external drive pegged as a 3.5" for some reason

The goal is to crack it open and extract the drive.
The USB connection/circuit board is soldered on like the Samsung s2 external drives or it's a common Sata HDD?
Thanks.
