PC Gameplay Video Capture (Hardware)

Anyone here uses Hardware to capture their gameplay videos? I'm looking for something that I can use without the need for another computer.

Something along the lines of me splitting one of my monitors that will then go to the capture card.

Most of the capture cards that I'm seeing right now are for XBox and PS3.

I'm pretty sure most game reviewers etc.. use software capturing on computers capable of handling it (which is most nowadays). The only place ull see hardware capture is like u said consoles.

FRAPS and MSi Afterburner (latest beta and free!) captures gameplay videos without needing additional hardware (just a decently fast multi core processor and a decently fast hard drive is good for faster recording)

Software capturing really shouldnt do that much of a performance hit on a above average computer.. Which if u plan on making videos you should have something that runs at max setting smooth to begin with.
