CK is here, check this:
"To download the Creation Kit, exit and restart your Steam client, then go to View -> Tools and find Creation Kit in the list. "

Possible I would just back them up then uninstall the old ones. I just went around and took some pic to compare this is going to take a long time!

They must be getting hammered with downloads on the CK!

I know it should overwrite some modded ones but isn't this comparison best with a vanilla pre-and-post "DLC" install?

True but I'd like to know if it's better than Skyrim HD or not. There are no details in the description whether the DLC textures are 1024, 2048 or 4096...

I've got Skyrim HD balanced just right for me, using the 'lite' version in the cities outdoors and the 'full' version everywhere else.

That's a good point but that info should be well known in no time. Perhaps even from the maker of HD itself; just watch that mod's comments page.

I read an article today where a guy commented how that NPCs, especially, don't react at all to the cold and elements such as they did to the ash storms in Morrowind (by moving slower and covering their faces with an arm). A small detail I suppose but he has a point. We know it's supposed to be really rugged and such but it just doesn't "feel" cold and miserable.

far as I am Aware there is a Toggle aka ESM / ESP for the HD textures if what im hearing is right

thus it will be like DLC or Mods from previous games, you have to enable it like anything else. so people should just calm down.

Anyone else having Steam trouble probably due to lot of people downloading the texture pack?

I backed up my entire Data folder (in case I don't like the new textures I'll get my own back again), clicked on the DLC, got the message that now I should click on 'play the game' to start the download. But when I click to play the game it says 'servers too busy'! awww...

Just saw this:

Quote:
Interesting how they did the texture pack - it's a set of BSAs with ESPs, so you can turn them on and off, they don't just automatically replace your existing texture BSA and they won't override texture mods either.
So it sounds like I will need to remove any texture mods to actually see these new ones in addition to enabling them to begin with.

They will be posted soon surely (Delta working on and they should be hitting the net as we speak; asking certainly isn't needed...)

i know but since the texture mods are not ESPs. Which one over rights theh other? will the ESP overright the individual texture files in the folders that ive installed? Ive installed all my mods manually.

The texture mods will probably be .bsa archives, so if you have a texture pack like Skyrim HD there is a chance that you won't see them, because folders override archives.
Don't quote me on that though, it's just a guess.

textures mods will overwrite

because of Archive Invalidation this is Bethesda modding 101 stuff,

the mod folders will take priority first or at least they SHOULD. do to once again archive invalidation

i dont believe its neccesary besides if your using nexus mod manager it backs up all your mods to a mod folder anyway, so not a big deal just click uninstall then reinstall bam done
