I'm assuming deactivating Skyrim HD in NMM and enabling the Bethesda HD textures would work right?

Question is which one is better?

Just do a backup anyway to be safe (never a bad idea) and just install the new; you will answer all your own questions soon enough.

Lol not only that. I'm logged in (see username top right), it's asking me to login again, with captcha to prove that I'm human and now also sent me a verification email because I'm using a new computer or new browser, or because 'its been a while' (I'm still using same pc, same browser, and login Steam every day)... and apparently it's stuck in a loop because I've been waiting for more than 10 minutes.

All this to get me to log in while I'm already logged in.

Inception anyone?

Right click on the game in Steam list and go to Properties and "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" option. That should redownload anything missing.

(facepalm)

Go verify game cache in Steam.

It'll take a while considering the vanilla data folder is around 4GB

i hope the high res texture pack is at 2048x2048

nevermind, just looked at a few peoples screen shots and it barely does anything! it think the resolutions are 1024x1024

EDIT: since the retexture thing doesnt seem to do much, im going to get it still, but only for things that my mods Ive been using doesnt. Hopefully that works?

Don't see a mayor improvement but, I do notice some sharper textures and livelier colors and it's free!!!

Yeah I'm not so sure we can call it "major" either but a definite improvement.

It's downloading finally, at 965KB/s.

But I'm not impressed with the comparative screenshots... so far..

Possibly, what on earth is in this large 3GB+ update?

Well, I'll try it out, and if HD Skyrim was better I'd go back to that.

better image to judge by, improvement is noticeable might not be on par with mods but heres the kicker this works on all in game objects and isnt a piece meal compilation of users works that dont always match up in terms of style etc. so keep that in mind, and anything your mods dont fix these texture improve so its really a win win

So wood no longer looks like crap, the decorative edges look sharper, and veggies like carrots are still hexagon?

I will keep my other mods.

It would be awesomely amazing to have a mod that causes the cold to have more of a NPC and environment effect on other characters like animals.

It's not an MMO. Steam or a local store.

Exactly what I like about it VS any MMO I ever tried. I hate having to teamplay on MMO's, here you can wander and take your time, build your levels of magic or weapons and sneak by just killing everything and then go kick some ass, not having to worry about others and their fag plans.
