Verifying cache now. Problem just started with Hi-Res pack.

It decided it needs an 800+ MB update. (sigh)

Yeah that's not an "update" but rather game data files being redownloaded probably mostly textures. Not to infer you don't know that...

Should fix you up.

Anyone that can confirm definitively that Skyrim won't use more than 2 GPUs? One of my HD 6990s is practically idling.

I can confirm that the game does use both GPU's. I monitor mine while playing and they bother hit the 80+% mark.

6970's here.

Right...but he has four GPUs and asked about "more than two". Two dual-GPU cards.

Even if it does, won't be much gain, running basically a dual core dual 6990's are going to be bottlenecked to beat hell. Which is probably why the 2nd card seems idle.

Further improvements on the Dragon Bone Smasher base texture and normal map did a quick and dirty render to see how the composition looked.

now to add some blood stains

Nice Crazy.
I just noticed that if you stand it upright with the hilt on top, it looks like a giant alter for explosive detonation (push hilt into body).

Just look at my system specs. I will give i a try though and see what happens.

I didn't catch that but I did catch the 'second card sits idle" comment.

"Chisel" the letters of the Unrelenting Force shout into the side so when you hit something it not only does a henious amount of damage (with applicable gore), but blows the target back into last week.

It doesn't look like there is going to be enough CK/Modding stuff in this thread to warrant a separate thread for that.
Let's keep it all together for now, and if the modding/CK questions pick up a lot I'll create a separate Skyrim modding thread and move the posts there.

Okey dokey?

Side question : Is there a way to run the CK without Steam?

I agree no point in a Skyrim mod thread, there really isnt enough people on TPU that do mods to warrant said thread.

and heres the final render, Color / Normal / Spec with Ambient Occlusion and Cavity Ambient Occlusion

Nice mod Crazy
1. I wanted to do simple mods like changing already done weapons. Like make a glass sword stronger, but when I change the value and save in game it tells me LookUp Error or Lookup fail? the weapon is still there that just becomes it name no matter what. I'm saving to a new file.

2. I'm trying to mod but I cant get anything to work. I'm trying to get it so water is clean not murky like this pic.

I don't like dirty water!

With a 4670, I guess I meant for for the higher end hardware crowd. Lower end though maybe texture packs do hit performance.

Its a shallow area with a dirt/sand bottom in a windy environment. It would be murky.
Immersion is essential.
