psu preference
Hi all,
as a newbee, I recently built a system and skimped on the PSU. I now know better so I have whittled my next choice to the following. Not a big gamer as yet but want the ability for X-fire. and also for blu ray film watching ( so quite) Choices are: Antec High Current Gamer 750W £66 OCZ OCZ-ZS750W-EU £67 XFX Pro 750W £71 Corsair CMPSU-700GUK £69 I hope to buy next week but would appreciate any feedback/ advice especially negative ones for these units Regards |

Wow at that prices the Antec and OCZ are good choices. The OCZ ZS is slightly more efficient (based on reviews) compared to the Antec HCG though, so go with that. That £1 more is worth it.

did a bit more digging, and was able to get the XFX 750 ( non modular ) for £51 delivered. It is a graded stock but comes with a 1 year guarentee and given its a seasonic psu I dont expect to have too many issues. ( famous last words ) but will post if there are issues Regards |

Seasonic psu's are my preference. Never had one fail, very quiet, great performance. All the reviews I've read for them say they're among the best.

Hi
Wish I had done.my homework at the start and bought a good Cpsu We live and learn I now have the xfx 750W It's good ,quite and good looking apart from the snakes I have a small case so routing in used leads was difficult . If money not an issue I would go for modular design in the future Live and learn |

XFX does like to use seasonic. I have the black edition 850w from XFX that I used for my old gtx 470 SLI setup last year. It's semi modular (mostly modular), and extremely high quality and efficient. It's super quiet, and is one of the most rock solid units I've ever used. It also looks really cool.
It's based on the M12D platform, which is nearly legendary now.
