The onboard NF200 chip might be toast. Don't bake it, it's a dual-PCB card with parts to fall down. It could make a disaster. If you have the transferable warranty, contact with eVGA.

Not sure why you went to it after a 460; it's a downgrade from even a 285 (a bit). I'd just get a 560 Ti or so, along with a bigger monitor. Use the money towards things that you need, lol don't waste it.

Hi,

Isn't it more a compatibility problem of the motherboard, since you did say the 9800GX2 works great on the other 2 motherboards before you change to the motherboard you are using now? Can you re-test the card on those two motherboards?

As for baking the card (not recommended though since you don't know the exact problem or what caused the problems you are having now), if you can not bake the Geforce 9800GX2 (afraid of falling apart of the dual-gpu), then try to use a heatgun as last resort if you have one. Many people fix their broken Xbox 360 or PS3 with a heatgun. Also you can work more accurately with a heatgun, since you can aim it at the gpu, instead baking the whole videocard in the oven, with the chance breaking/melting the more temperature sensitive parts on the card (especially those plastic parts and memory chips). You will have to take apart of the 9800GX2 first, make notes or photos so that you know how to re-assemble the card after you have reflowed the solder under the gpu chips.
