Sapphire Trixx - Can it apply manual fan speed at windows startup and then unload?

I have a Sapphire HD Radeon 6850 and I'm using Sapphire Trixx which is an overclocking utility. It works well, but there are some annoyances I would like to ask about.

The fan settings don't apply on windows start up. There seems to be no way to save an overclocking profile which includes the fan settings. I want my video card fan to spin at 100% at all times. Currently, I have to click manual fan control in every windows session to make the fan spin at my desired speed.

The Sapphire Trixx also has an obnoxious 5 second countdown bar graph that makes me wait 5 seconds at windows startup before the overclocking settings are actually applied. Is there anyway to just make it apply them immediately like literally every single other overclocking utility out there?

Finally, Sapphire Trixx doesn't unload itself out of memory when the overclocking settings are applied at every windows startup. This would be nice, and is exactly how utilities like Riva Tuner or MSI Afterburner work. Once the overclocking is applied, they remove themselves from memory. The overclocking settings stay put after the program unloads.

fan settings no applying at startup is a bug and should be fixed in next release

use the previous build which should work fine

the 5 second delay is to avoid a "permanent" system crash situation when you go too high with your clocks. any suggestions how this could be improved interface wise ?

what option do you enable to make afterburner quit after applying your overclock? the load at windows startup option minimizes the program to the systray, just like trixx.

I would not call it obnoxious. Like he said it's a safety mechanism. Furthermore, I like it if I'm not going to be gaming right away then I cancel the OC. Yeah, as he also suggested, perhaps the interface could be improved. I just don't have any good ideas offhand.

I love Trixx esp for Crossfire oc. It does freeze and blue screen occasionally at app launch (like maybe once out of every 25 times and it has done it across various Windows installs ftr) but that's a relatively small price to pay to clock both my cards easily and hopefully will eventually stop happening.

Manually these days. I did use auto off and on for a time. I do not think auto crashed but I can't remember for sure. I think it blue screens but don't often see it before reboot so tough to get a code. The machine will freeze as soon as I click Trixx and eventually black screen then reboot.

Appreciate the warning now on oc attempt with ULPS enabled. Ran into this yesterday after updating Cat drivers.

I ran stress tests using furmark and 3dmark06 while manually overclocking and rebooting on crashes to get my stable clocks. I know exactly what my card will run at without worrying about a system crash. I can run 1020 core / 1140 memory at 1.25 volts on the sapphire hd radeon 6850 and it runs like a dream, no crashes, no artifacts, works awesome.

I don't use msi afterburner because it doesn't allow voltage tweaking, I believe unwinder said something about the sapphire cards didn't follow the specifications perfectly and arn't supported by msi afterburner, which is his next project now that riva tuner is no longer being developed.

Also, msi afterburner only allows this radeon 6850 by sapphire to go up to 850 core from the default 775, which sucks. Must use Trixx or Ati Tray Tools to get it above that to my stable 1020.

I love Ati Tray Tools, but for some reason the fan control won't work with my radeon 6850 by sapphire. I already posted on the Ati Tray Tools forum over there on Guru3d and am waiting for a response. Someone else posted the exact same problem as well in another thread there.

I could use a combination of Ati Tray tools for the overclock and another program called Speedfan to set the video card fan to 100%, but then I have to use 2 programs, and speedfan starts a scan of all available devices everytime it starts up and isn't really that much faster than using Trixx alone.

As you all know EVGA precision only supports Nvidia cards, so we can't use that.

Riva Tuner doesn't work with anything on this Radeon 6850 so that's out the door too.

GpuTool also doesn't support anything on this newer card, so can't use that tool either.

When I was using Riva Tuner last year with my Nvidia GTX 260, riva tuner would start at windows start up, apply the overclock and fan speed control, and then unload itself from memory, instantly, everytime. That's the functionality I'm looking for, at least maybe the developer could offer an option for "apply overclock instantly at windows startup" instead of forcing all users to wait 5 seconds. Seriously, it's the only tool that does that I've ever seen.

An option to unload itself from memory after an overclock has been applied would be nice for Trixx as well. Is there a way to send feature suggestions to the developer of Sapphire Trixx?

Yes and again the fan speed control and windows startup would be nice too. Thanks and have a wonderful evening. Trixx works great as it is, but there are a few fixes that would make it godly.
