Asus Crosshair V & EK-FB ASUS Crosshair

hi all,

here are some notes if you are using the crosshairV and the EK-FB Asus Crosshair waterblock.
use gaffatape on the screwholes, northbridge to avoid shortcuts from the wb / mainboard (white),
fully cover the vrms and the "asmedia" chip area with thermal pad (red),
i ran into this after several hours of playing Battlefield3 , suddenly pc shutdown.... , temps where 30° C @ 4400Mhz
tried to restart and the cpu_led didn´t shut off due board selftest.



also tape the screwholes on the backside !
if you use plastic washers the NB would not get contact to the wb

reassembled all and board is back on duty .....
