Thoughts wanted on eyefinity setup

So I finally took the plunge and ordered a 3rd monitor for my eyefinity setup. The setup will be an Acer s211hl 21.5" led 1920x1080 in the middle and 2x Acer s201hl 20" led 1600x900 for the left and right. So basically when I want to turn eyefinity on I will have to turn down the resolution on my 21.5" to 1600x900. Which is fine. But do you guys think that I should go with this setup or sell my 21.5" and get a 3rd 20" acer? I can't decided what i would prefer.

Here are some pics (havent received my 3rd monitor yet.):

you want 3 identical monitors. 3 differnt will work, but it'll seem odd once set up.

Well they are all the same monitor. The middle one is just one size bigger.

Yes, and that changed the pixel ratio. Side screens don't show alot of info, mostly blurred stuff in most titles, but on some, thigns are crisp, and you'll have the image larger on the 1080p screen.

I mean, try it out. use the 1080p as the main, and the other two as the side, and it might be tolerable. For me, personally, it isn't.

It will work, of course. It's just the optimal experience using three monitors the same.

EDIT: I'll just say, that you might be disappointed in the Eyefinity performance with your current VGA.

What I am wondering is if eyefinity will ever support different resolution. Like can I have resolution of 5760x1080 and on the 1600x900 monitors some of the image is cut off on the top/bottom and far side.

ha yeah I know. plan getting a 7 series card or a 6970 when the 7 series comes out. I guess going 3x 20" would help with that though.

I cannot answer to what AMD might or might not do. I do understand that it'd take more processing power to resize the image for differnt resolution monitors, and it might not be possible due to how Eyefintiy is presented to the OS as a "single large surface".

As far as I understand, the OS has no idea that it's really three monitors, so scaling images would ahve to be done in hardware...sheesh..Eyefinity can be problematic as is.

1080p monitors are ideal, as a lot of titles get the top/bottom cut off when run @ 1440x900. meaning menus and such aren't usable.

yeah. I think I am going to try the monitors and see how i like it. I don't have the money to buy 3x 1080p monitors but I got the side ones for $65 each.
