Build not working

Hi appologies if this is the wrong forum, maybe the administrator can advise.
Basically am building a system up for a freind, who has bought parts on my say.
He is an elderly freind who just basically wants to surf and e-mails.
So we have a Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 motherboard and a sapphire HD 5450 512MB graphicsa card. 750W psu. 8GB ram ddr3
connected all up and on switch on I get continious beep.
manual says this is graphics card not installed properly.
after several atempts at reseating card I tried it in another computer and it works with no issues.
Any thoughts. on what to try.
I would love to get it working before Sunday.

Oh one other thing Merry Xmas from the UK

I would check with different RAM, but my instincts tell me it's the motherboard..

8GB seems to be a tad overkill for surfing the internet and checking email. The video card seems overkill too. Could have went with 2GB ram and onboard video or at the very least a GTS 210. But whats done is done. Enjoy the system.

My freind was going to spend £350 on a Zoolanda base unit.
My spend
Processor £50 !!!!!!!
8GB 1333MHz £26
MOBO £50
Video card £26
HDD 500GB £70

The cost for my work
I gave him my old PC case, DVD drive, my spare 750W psu. in return for Dragon rider PC case. So winners all round.

Up date on fault , changed position of ram and one stick worked , the other fault appeared. Put the stick in my pc. and guess what my pc crashed ( though it did get to bios screen)
Phew close call

I don`t think that continuous beep is proper BIOS code so motherboard is highly provable cause.
Try starting the motherboard with min. components connected the bare minimum and see if would post.
