Battlefield 3, wierd crashings....

hello guys i bought the game at the release date and i'm still having stability issues...

My system is:
CPU: 2500k @ 4.5Ghz
Mobo: Asus P8P67 PRO
RAM: Kingston 2x2 Gb @ 1600Mhz
Gpu: Asus DCUII 6950 1Gb
OS: Windows 7 32bit
Screen Resolution: 1080p

I have tried putting the cpu and gpu back to stock frequencies, uninstalling the game, and installing all the latest gpu drivers after a clean uninstall with driver sweeper... I don't know what else to try...

But the crashings seem to be consistant, whenever i start the game with graphics set to low (the resolution is always 1080p) and set them, in game, to auto, the game runs smoothly... Whenever i start the game with graphics set to auto the game crashes after a few seconds....

Does anybody else have this kind of problems with the game??? Do you have any ideas of what could be wrong????

Is it possible that your Windows 7 32bit might be a cause? I know that the game support both versions (based on the system requirements) but who knows.

I had this with my machine (see specs) it would crash every twenty min. So i set up ADIA to watch my Cpu throttling ,Well it would go from 3.8 gig to 4.8 under load.....Fixed it with a BIOS update ....try that. After the flash it goes down to 3.2 gig and stay`s between 3.2-3.8 like it should.Hope that helps you out.

i was thinking that yesterday, i made a clean install of windows 32bit in a spare drive i had in order to eliminate all other factors and the same thing happens... then i thought of trying the 64bit version, so i'm on it right now...

what do you mean it would go from 3.8gig to 4.8??? do you mean that the mobo was increasing the little phenom's frequency to 4.8ghz??? Anyway, i have turbo off so it doesn't throttle up under load... checked it with Linx...

i'll check this too but i don't think this would be the problem because the game crashes within seconds when i start the round with graphics set to auto, but runs smoothly when i start it at low graphics and then set it to auto...

Thank you all for the help.... I'll try everything and come back later...

i think it's the same... if not all, most of the settings are the same.... however the 64bit version is ready and the first round i played didn't crash... of course i will play again in order to be sure, but could this be the problem???

Yep it would shoot all the way up,Did it to me yesterday when i tried running Vantage ,Shot up to 4.8 and then down to 4.0 and locked,Could have been a bug or corrupt BIOS ,Has not happened since the flash. And there is no turbo mode for the M3A79-T...was strange.

I can't understand what is wrong with asus, they may have the best hw, but as far as sw is concerned (including drivers, utility programms etc) they are quite pathetic....

Anyway, my tests are done, the game runs fine on 64bit with overclocked cpu & gpu @ stock voltages.... the only thing left, is to check if both versions i used have sp1....
