Hey guys,

For some random reason, starting yesterday evening out of the blue, my CCC presets have stopped working... In fact, even creating new ones doesn't solve the issue...

Whenever I click on a preset, I see the overdrive window, and all the sliders move to the "preset's clock speeds and fan speeds" and they instantly revert back to whatever was there before...

It's like when I click on a preset, it happens so fast, I barely have time to notice the sliders moving... like a flicker...

I have then proceeded with a clean uninstallation of my AMD components (except for CAPs) and re-install... and still not fixed !?!

Before uninstalling and re-installing AMD software, I had also tried a system restore (to see if the problem was registry based...) and system restore didn't fix it either.

Please help, I really love using presets to power up my GPUs for games, and bring em back down for "normal Workload" ...

Your cards should automatically throttle themselves. There's usually three performance states. Idle, 2d, and 3d.

So at idle the card would be at lets say 250MHz core and 150 MHz memory (performance state 0).
2D clocks are usually used for media type applications and are clocked at 500MHz core, 1200MHz memory. (performance state 1)
Then the 3D clocks are your peak power which should be 800MHz and 1200MHz memory (performance state 2).

At any rate, download MSI afterburner and in the settings menu click on the "Monitoring" tab, then in the section labeled "Active Hardware monitoring graphs" scroll down to "core clock" and "memory clock", click on one of them to highlight it, then down towards the bottom of the window click on "show in On0Screen display". Make sure you do that for both the core and the memory clocks.

Then launch a game and see if the settings you tried changing in Overdrive took. It may just be the case that this flicker that you see is simply the card just reverting back to its idle state clocks.

Do that and report back.

Well... even so... I used to select a pre-set, and all my settings would stick... before I would fire up a game or whatnot...

I've deleted all my old presets and built new ones, and now everything works except the power setting for my 2nd card... weird...

When I select my presets, the clock speeds are good, and so are the mem clock speeds.. +20% of power works on my main card, but the 2nd card sticks to +0% (no flicker)

I think I know what's wrong with my CCC... I think somehow, some Registry values got messed up...

which would explain why uninstalling and re-installing didn't fix anything...
