Intel: Overclocking lock in new chipsets
Tomshardware found a very interesting and to tell the truth discouraging issue about the new chipsets Intel recently introduced. If you want to overclock your new and shiny i915/925 based mainboard by more than 10% (FSB) the chipset itself will crash your system and you got to reboot. A few years ago Intel locked the multiplier and from that day on only a few Engineering samples allowed to change it. Now they restrict you again in locking the FSB. But the world is not as bad as you might think. A few motherboard makers know how to get rid of this prevention...
