Dark_Ride Fundraiser - Contest over, Fundraiser still going!
Some staff at techPowerUp have come up with an idea. A friend of ours, also a staff member here on techPowerUp! - Dark_Ride - is in some financial problems.
Dark_Ride lives with just his mother in Bosnia, who makes roughly $210 USD a month. He and his mother are in 1500KM worth of debt that they have been trying to pay off, which converts to $981 USD. He just recently got his dialup back, and lives in a two room house that they built. His parents just got divorced two months ago, and his father is working illegally in france. He has dreamed for a long time about getting out of Bosnia, and even tried moving illegally to germany with his mother when he was younger, but after a few months he was sent back to Bosnia. Our GoalUrlyin, Wazzledoozle, and I, all have pitched in to buy an Intel E6300 (seen here) that will be raffled off. All proceeds will go to Dark_Ride to help pay off his debt, pay for the charges to apply for visas, and travel fees that will help him get out of the country. We are aiming for $1337.  *Update - 2nd, 3rd and 4th Prizes*2nd Prize: Thanks to mushkin, we now have a second prize. Mushkin has kindly donated a kit of 2x 512Mb HP2-5300 DDR2 memory. We will select four winners, one will win the conroe, one will win the memory seen here. Yes, it is possible to win multiple prizes.  3rd Prize: Thanks to HeavyH20, another winner will get to take home a Coolermaster Centurion 5 case with a 480 Watt Coolermaster PSU. The case can be seen here.  4th Prize: Thanks to DarkSaber, we also have a fourth prize, a remote control, worth about $100, seen here.  Rules and Guidelines
Keep in mind, this is not just a raffle. The raffle is merely a bonus. This is a fundraiser, and you may donate as much or as little as you wish, EVERY PENNY HELPS. Funding for the Core 2 Duo
