I wonder what the point of this would be over my own FTP server that I pay $0 a month for?

If you have your own, its pointless. For people like me that dont have their own FTP server, it might be beneficial.

Ah cool, I was just wondering if there was some kind of features beyond an FTP that this might offer.

I edited it before you even posted your link hence the reason it don't say i edited it.
I said that because it looked pretty unprofessional and sketchy to me.
But by all means take your glory

There's no need to be childish about it. The emphasis of my last post was that you cut down on what Crash posted, then back-peddled.

I'll at least leave you with a compliment; you'd make a great politician.

I'm actually not seeing the relationship between those two posts, but if that is the case, my condolences to your friend.

Not really. If you are talking about using this as an off-site backup for important files, then 25GB isn't nearly enough, neither is 100GB actually. I've got other better solutions for that purpose.

In my short time on Earth (1 year), I've found that eggs over hard is the only way to go.

She lost all her digital files, pictures ect. Thanks for the condolences. Most people can keep all their photos in a 25 gig storage and it's only $12 for a year.

Most people can keep all their photos in 25GB? My folder with all my pictures from my digital is almost 30GB, and I only have a 7MP camera. Modern 17 Bazillion MP cameras take huge pictures. Not to mention if you throw in a digital music collection, and you are easily beyond 25GB. I'd rather pay the $5 a month for carbonite and get unlimited storage and actually back up all my important files, and not just half my digital pictures...

This server is not intended as a backup solution. It is meant as a way to access your files remotely.
