AMD-Branded Memory Now Available In The UK, Other Parts of Europe
Following North American retail availability of the AMD Memory branded desktop system memory modules, AMD (NYSE: AMD) is pleased to announce European retail availability debuting with technology partner Patriot Memory LLC. Key launch partners of AMD Memory in Europe include: Alternate (Germany), ASBIS (East Europe), Avnet Technology Solutions Ltd (EMEA), Pixmania (EMEA) and VIP Computers (UK & Benelux). AMD Memory branded products provide an easy and straightforward experience when looking for the ideal match for gaming or multimedia PC needs.
AMD Memory is available at three different levels - 2GB, 4GB and 8GB sizes - in a range of price points and speeds. The Entertainment category will feature 1333 MHz and 1600 MHz speed RAM, designed for quiet Home Theater PC applications. The Performance version supports speed up to 1600 MHz with enhanced latency and comes in matched pairs. Finally, Radeon Edition DRAM will run at 1866 MHz, and is tuned, tested and certified for specific AMD platforms to enable maximum performance utilizing the AMD OverDrive tuning utility. “With over two decades of experience and expertise in this technology and strong launch partners across Europe, we expect to see great success for the AMD branded memory line in Europe,” said Paul Jones, CEO of Patriot Memory. In addition to leveraging AMD’s experience in creating GPU, CPUs, APUs and motherboard chipsets, this new product line also enables retailers to round out AMD bundles with memory, helping to ensure an easy, confident upgrade experience that places a heavy emphasis on compatibility and stability. Customers can purchase a complete package designed to deliver top performance and maximum value. “Following years of supplying and validating memory for AMD Radeon™ graphics cards, adding system memory to our product line was a clear opportunity for us, providing our partners and end-users with the performance and reliability AMD is renowned for,” said Matt Skynner, corporate vice president and general manager, AMD GPU Division. |

I have used 1x4gb stick of this ram in a build for a friend and it worked the same as my G2 Patriot ram. They just put a sticker on it and called it amd.

I don't get calling it Radeon edition, system memory has nothing to do with your graphics card.

intel processor + amd memory + nvidia card... tutti frutti
or maybe an intel processor + amd memory + amd card... AMD could earn lot of money by selling intel system like these. But What if AMD starts making chipsets for intel processors? AMD could also make PSUs but its a market overloaded with more than 15 brands to choose from. Not sure sound cards and nics. |
