Problems w/settings in UT3

Greetings-

I play the game on a PC.

When I try to change settings in Greed or Betrayal, I'm kicked out of the game.

When, for example, I add the Titan mutator to Deathmatch, it's also added to Greed.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I've also re-installed the latest patch, 2.1.

I've ordered another copy of UT3 and will probably install but thought I'd see if anyone knew of a fix first.
