Choosing foreign language in Steam?

I have bought Metro 2033 and have discovered that it is another compulsory 'Steam' title.

I want to play the game in German.

In the good old days this would be quite a simple process of either installing the game in German or simply downloading a language pack from somewhere....However with Steam I believe things are a little more complicated.

Anyone with experience of this know what to do?

(I have tried to go Steam forums but my user profile has not yet been activated)

Sometimes one needs more help than Google, otherwise these forums would be pointless

Start the game, go to "game options" then select "German" for both the language and subtitles and voila!

Yeah...I had already googled but never found that page.

Incidentaly, most of the times that i do google for information that I need to find out, I end up getting the info I need on some web forum where someone has had the same problem as me, only for them to be met with the usual assortment of 'google it' to§$ers in amongst those who give good information that helps the original question asker and no doubt dozens or even hundreds of other web users.

I once did a hardware related search on google that led me straight to this very forum.

Actually it's happened twice, I registered the first time.
