I searched through the forums and didn't really find an answer to my question. So unfortunate for you folks here at TPU, because that means I get to bother all you fine people! :toast:

I'm in the process of putting on an AM vga cooler on my GTX 480 as it runs a little to warm for my taste. The cooler I'm looking into says that I would want to replace my thermal pads/tape. I'm not really sure what thickness or type I should go with though.

I was told these were the best to use:

What cooler are you sticking on the card? 3M tape works well as long as you don't need to worry about clearence and/or if you're just sticking heatsinks on the ram/mosfets/etc.

That's my rig at the moment so I'm pretty sure I'll be okay on space.

This is what I'm looking at as long as I can find one for a decent price as I don't really have the $90 to spend on a cooler right now:
