Microsoft Hardware has teamed with leading gaming peripheral maker Razer USA Ltd. to develop next-generation computer gaming mouse called Microsoft Habu. It will be powered by Razer's Precision advanced 2,000 DPI laser sensor. Just like the Razer Copperhead mouse, the Habu comes with seven programmable buttons with Razer’s Hyperesponse technology allowing gamers to program their button functions. Two days ago I was wondering which one to choose Microsoft Laser 6000 or Razer Copperhead. However I ordered the Copperhead...and now here's this Habu thing. It looks ugly...maybe because of the Microsoft logo on a mouse like this. It's like Lamboghini and BMW team up....BlamboMW...joke

Thats what I thought when I first saw it. I was like WTH! It looks almost like my Razer Copperhead. Then I calmed down and realized that Microsoft just copied design cues from Razer's mouse.

Heh, guess that's me. I wanted to get a Razer, but I really don't like the feel to them. I love the way my mouse feels, but it'll seriously glitch terribly in some FPSs.

I feel wierd holding Razers too, not sure why but I just do. IMO, the Logitech G5 is the best mouse ever made. It's comfortable, great grips on it, and 2000DPI Laser. Also 5 programmable speeds. But for Left-handers I would go with Razer.

I like it, Microsoft worked with Razor on it so DUHHHH they look alike. As for its performance....its the same freakin sensor and has 'Razer’s Hyperesponse technology' I mean, how badly could they screw it up??

I like the feel of my intellimouse, but need to upgrade to a cabled mouse.

The logitech G7 has always given me FLAWLESS wireless performance. Not a single glitch.

And it comes with 2x lithium ion battery packs that swap in 3 seconds....

Such a magnificiant mouse.... its sooo nice.. esp with the adjustable dpi's, side button and SIDE SCROLLING!

I never bought a wireless mouse simply because batteries are f'ing retarded... rechargeable battery packs when suipplied in pair however..

I got a Razer Diamond Back Mouse, and yeah its a bit weird to hold at 1st but after a while you dont wanna use any other mouse, with an exception of the mx518.

It's a personal feeling...I was a big fan of the Microsoft mouses and I was happy with my Explorer 4.0, but 400dpi and broken left click button after 6 months...naaa, not anymore. Now with the Copperhead everything seems perfect. I feel it very comfortable and the side buttons are also dream...although that every review on the net says: OMFG these side buttons are almost unusable. I also don't like any current Logitech...blah.

Well, IMO my G5 is better than the MX518 by a long shot. The body is about the same, but some buttons are rearranged, but the comfort is the same, but the G5 has more precision with that 2000 DPI Laser and adjustable weights.

My brother has a G5 and personally i think the adjustable weights is pointless, like as if its too heavy to move or oops i went too far. Other then that i got my Razer when it came out and G5 came out a little while later. Personally i wouldnt rate the G5 higher or lower. Theres some features the Razer has the G5 doesnt too =P.

I would love an adjustable weight... I use a few different desks a lot and a lighter/heavier mouse would make things a bit better...

Im going to defend the Razer CopperHead because I have one and its an awesome gaming mouse! All you slagging it off probably didnt give it a chance and didnt give yourselves time to adjust to the mouse (it took me a while to adjust)

Personally I think the Logitech gaming mice are overrated (but thats just my opinion)

ive been using my mx518 for about 2 years now and i love it. the razer mice are designed for 2 finger gaming where i have always used 3 fingers. theres just not enough room on one for me. other then a few shape modifications i had to make due to the way i like it the mx518 > g5/razer. i also use the back and forward buttons on the side alot for internet and some games. the forward button missing on the g5 really was a put off to me along with the texture of it. and hell...who really needs 2000dpi when u have it set at minimal sensitivity. i run the 518 with no drivers at 800..

I move my computer around (i have like 5 desktops, 2 laptops) and different surfaces all the time, different places, and different weights would be useful for certain games.. heavier mouse for fps, and a lighter one for like an RTS.
