Overheat

Good Morning Summer in the Philippines Hit again.

If your GPU hit a high temperature does it will automatically off?
I experienced that thing yesterday just only once and I am thinking twice if I am going to use it again on long periods of time.

Is it OK to open my System Unit side panel off ? Then I will place a Electric Fan beside my System Unit facing the side panel.

My GPU is Powercolor HD6790

Thanks

System Specs

Check your CPU temperatures using RealTemp, SpeedFan, etc.

Check your GPU temperatures using GPU-Z

Yes, if things get too hot the system will shut itself off. It is fine to remove the sidepanel and have a fan blowing on it.

@Erocker!

I get 50-55 celsius on Idle then 60-80 celsius at load

@kabayan! I am doing it now.

I have no extra money here to buy a Full Tower Casing so that I am really stuck on my ATX casing jeeeezzz. The only thing I can do now is remove the side panel then let my Electric Fan do the Work.
Thanks for the Quick Response Guys!

Many bios' will shut down the computer after it reaches 75c. It would be a good idea to replace the thermal paste under the heatsink.

Thermal Paste? First time to read this. I do some quick googling about that

I am afraid to do that 'cause i think it will void my warranty if 'am right.

Start with the fan blowing on the side. If that doesn't fix it, you will want to contact who you bought the computer from to get it serviced.

I'd better stick on the Electric Fan cooling now until I get some bucks to buy a Full tower Casing with Good Cooling Systems

Thanks Dude!
