Lunar Flight "Tons of fun for 10"

http://www.shovsoft.com/forum/index.php
http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=2654653

Fully 3-D and HD.
Simulation Genre.
Lunar Module from the Apollo missions.

A new game by a new Dev. A solo act actually..The game shows a ton of promise. It's gorgeous imo and brings definition, to the word tranquility...
It's like getting a chance to fly the lunar module. It's an indie game, selling for 10 bucks on Steam. I've paid a lot more for games and gotten a lot less.

I think it's a total steal and would be a shame to miss for any sim fan. Flying in 0-G uses Newtonian physics, so it gets... Interesting....lol.. Expect a bit of a learning curve on that.
Expect to hurtle into obstacles, at speeds that will confound you, for a bit..
It's not too bad though.
Crashing is fun...

The game runs great, on average systems as well. Definitely worth looking into imo.
I've been spreading the word all over about it.

Lol it's on sale now as far as I'm concerned. It just got off sale last weekend also. So it may be a while. It's worth the price and some imo. Just love the atmosphere. But if ya ever end up getting it, it's fun.

PS: That's actually my game play video lol.. Small world..
I have a whole playlist in there, of game play videos. I think 4 of them.
in 1080p.

Lost cargo retrieval, time trials, data survey and delivery so far. The dev said he's going to expand on it though. Has achievements and a leveling/upgrade system as well. Also a ranking board for time trials.
I've put 23.4 hours into it so far, according to steam.

hrm well it looks to me like you simply jump from place to place. i will hold off until the game is a bit rounded out.

There are three maps that vary in difficulty.

Data survey is where you have to hover in a small location, collecting data, until the download completes.

Delivery is taking things, from one station to another.

Lost cargo, is actually going out, around the area and scanning, until you find the cargo.
Then you land on the surface of the moon and retrieve it with an arm. Then you return it to a destination.

Time trials are waypoints and timed.

Has achievements and a leveling/upgrade system as well. Also a ranking board for time trials.

They are individual interfaces, not just going from place to place, with the same interface.
That would drive me nutz..lol

It has a lot of diversity "for a 10 dollar game".
And I'm looking forward to more diversity soon.

Yea I said the same thing myself on their forums. People agree. It could be great atmosphere with co-op/multiplayer.

I never heard of this game. Thank you.
Always looking for fun things to play.

I heard that game had a lot of glitches.. Not the case?

I'll be downloading this later for sure. TY.

Edit: Orbiter is a lot more complicated. Lunar flight is, more of a game for fun, in a simple way.
I'm sure if I give orbiter a lot of time I'll get better. But all the charts and calculating trajectories and, and and and.. Pretty complicated.
Still a hell of a game though. Great for sim fans. I'm going to keep at it for a while.
I think it's worth the effort.
It is NOT however, for people who just want, to play a fun game, where you can get use to it, in a reasonable amount of time. This is like learning to fly a plane..
