Help Cleaning Fan
hey ,i need to clean the dust of the fins of all my Fans but its a hella hard to get in there and clean that shit and i dont have any canned air.
so what would be the best way to do this without canned air. i heard that you can get a bowl and dump isopropyl in it and put a fan in there and turn on the fan for a minute or 2 than let it dry. but idk if that would help at all

What I did last time was to take the fan out of the case, hold it down (so it doesn't spin) and vacuum the dust off the fan. Worked for me, but not sure if that is the "correct practice"

magnetic dust covers prevent the problem in the first place pretty much.

damp cloth, compressed air, hoover and an old toothbrush or paint brush does me usually.
gave my case a good going over with compressed air yesterday. the amount of dust that came off my 180mm fan would have given me cancer if i didnt have the hoover pointed at it... I got dust filters on my case too!! dust filters are good at picking up the bigger particles, but the smaller ones still manage to get in and 'collect' inside.
