How would we know? What do you use your computer for? What O/S are you using? What are your computer system specifications?

sell the 590, which still demands a decent price on ebay and get the single 690. its not like you dont have the money if u are even considering such a buy.

I sense 'pointless post' fatigue.

As to the OP, you have a GTX 590 and you're asking about buying another? Or just getting a GTX 690 or 2 GTX 680?

I would recommend you read a cross section of reviews from various sites and make up your own mind. For someone with a GTX 590 to ask for advice on what card to get next seems utterly ridiculous.

Sorry if this sounds harsh but it's like someone with a porsche asking which Supercar to buy next.

Since you're using 3 3D monitors, go with best.. The GTX 690, no doubt.

I think you'd be better off with a 670 SLI, you could get 4GB versions too... makes more sense than a 690, unless you want the 690 for it's look which I completely understand

Do some research first. You seriously can almost match the
power with 2 GTX 670's and save $200.

I personally would take dual 680's out of the equation. A 690 = dual 680's. Dual 670 will be really close. You obviously have the money, and have multi 3d monitors, go with the 690.

But the 690 consist of 2 680 downclocked, so wouldn't it make sence to get 2 680.
What are your thoughts on that?.

They are downclocked yes. To the best that I know, the 2 gpu's being on the same card reduces the time for the gpu's to communicate resulting in basically 680 sli performance.

As it says on the TPU 690 review, "Reaches GTX 680 SLI performance levels."
If you havn't read it already here it is: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/N...TX_690/33.html

There are pretty much equal at stock. If you plan on overclocking them sli 680 would perform better. So would 670 sli which is pretty much clock for clock with the 680. We are talking all with in 1-2%
