plz help quick corsair h80

im trying to install my h80 but the cooler came with 3 pin fans, but the pump only has 4 pin fan connectors... wtf? can i plug the 3 pin into the 4 pin slots? why did it come like this?

The 4-pin headers still have a tab. Line it up with the groove in the 3-pin and plug them in. Why, because they can

Not sure, maybe they aren't all the way seated. Don't jam em in there, but there may be a bit of pressure required to fully seat the connections. If they are seated all the way, you may want to very gently attempt to bend the tabs down a bit. Careful they are thin and can break easily!

also, the directions suck. all i do is plug the fans into the pump, the pump to the mb then power. thats it? dont have to turn the pump on or anything?

You gotta plug the molex connector IIRC, and it takes a fair amount of pressure to fit the fan connector to the 4 pin connector, it's a tight fit

There isn't a Molex connector on the H80 that I remember.

I installed the one in my rig a few weeks ago and I remember that there's the fan connector to mobo and a molex connector... maybe the molex is if you don't plug the mobo thing? either way I plugged both lmao
