GTX 560 Ti High TEMP!

Specs:
CPU: i3-2100 3.1ghz
GPU: Gainward Phantom GTX 560Ti 2gb
PSU: 550 Watts iMaster PRO 80+
Monitor: Acer 24'' LED

I'm playing BF3 for like 5 minutes, and the temp blows up to 100C! playing on high 40~60fps constant 45fps
Averaging from 90~100C temp. I tried low preset. Gives me only 60fps constant. Shouldn't that be higher? vsync off.

Is this normal or not?

I tried playing other games.
On Diablo 3, I wasnt satisfied. It gives me below 60 and sometimes hitting 30?
That wasnt the normal performance for a GTX 560 ti running a DX9 game right?

I believe, all the games that I played, I always hit 100C

btw I'm playing these games at 1920x1080 resolution.

If it has warranty, return the GPU they should give you another one, I believe your card is faulty.

I run a GTX460 1GB and i get very good performance out of it at highest settings available in a game temps while gaming for me rarely/never seen them go beyond 64C, plus i game @ 1920x1080

Are you checking your temps with MSI AB? How's your fan RPM? Does it increases with temps or not? Clean the dust if any. Try another driver. Set a custom fan profile.

Well. In other treads, they said it is normal for they have the same video card as mine.
Hmm. What's the other causes of it? Wirings?

Yes sir, Fan RPM is 3210. Yes it does increase as the temps go high. I recently bought it so no issues about the dusts. Gonna try another Driver now. Thanks though.

I have the same card and run bf3 on ultra with 65 fps at 1600 x 900 so your computer could be cutting performance in order to stay cool. If I were you I would dissasemble the card and replace the thermal grease with artic silver. Mine runs at 85 degrees Celsius since I did. DO NOT REMOVE THE THRMAL PADS ON THE RAM. feel free to properly alighn them better but don't rePlace them with thermal grease. Also after all the screws are out you may have to try and slide the heatsink around a little to get it free.
