Problem Win 7 and Hyper-Sli

Every time I enable SLI in NVidia control Panel the display goes to low-res and I lose the Nvidia driver.. .i.e. I have to reinstall. Hyper-SLI itself says everything is ok.

- I've tried Nvidia new drivers/older drivers/beta drivers/modded drivers
- I've tried all available versions of Hyper-SLI - Followed all instructions
- Hyper-SLI works on the same hardware with Win XP - no probs there

Nvidia driver crashes on Win 7 32bit and 64 bit
The same Nvidia driver versions work well with XP 32bit and 64bit

Anyone got a clue or had this problem before? Help much appreciated
