M4A89GTD PRO Review by me!
M4A89GTD PRO
Specs
Ok, so today i got the motherboard. It is hot, slick and powerful. The only thing is that it has some stupid things too. Overall it is good. I did only 1 bench as i only had 1 game at all! Just kidding, but with others it was all the same story as with m4n68 so nothing too much to apprechiate. It has the onboard 4290, but that is nothing to apprechiate when you have, even a 9500GT. 9500GT outperformed the integrated card with 1.5x in games like Tomb Raider Legend and 2.5x times with deus ex. I did not do photos, because it had some problems with the print screen on these games, i don't know why. Assasin's creed ran at 25fps with 9500GT and 16fps with 4290. So if you think that 4290 is cool, i don't think so. I even think that my old 7600GS was faster. Since i am waiting for another card, can i use it in pair with 9500GT??? Also, the board i had and this one, are identical in power, don't buy this one if you think it is just more powerful! It is the same. When it comes to 4 rams and double cards, than it is ok. It has 6 more usb places than m4n68. This benchmark is not very detailed, as i only did it for someone who was suspicious i wont buy things in the threads..... ![]() Here is a pic: ![]() Another one: ![]() Another: ![]() AnOtHeR: ![]() Ugh: ![]() Here are the dirt showdown bench m4n68: ![]() m4a89gtd pro: ![]() On the second test, the car was first, while in the first, the car was positioned 4th. It has to do with the position of the car of course, because it takes more graphic processing to run with 4 cars, instead of a single car. This is why the results are a bit weird. Anyway, the board had the same power. Last edited by Aleksander; Jun 5, 2012 at 10:21 PM. |

That new board is much stronger and has many more features than your old one.
Example: The new board has 8+2 power phases which is at least 2 times more than the old board. It may not show up as speed but try some overclocking and stability testing and you will see the difference.

I have a question though
Can i sli my 9500GT with the card i will get? (Amd or Nvidia) Does the stability and overclocking stand for the gpu too? |

That motherboard doesn't support nvidia sli; it does amd crossfire. There may be some hack for sli.
I had the M4A89TD Pro when I had my 1090t, and I loved it, never any problems. It was a solid board too with overclocking, both cpu and ram. Both very nice. Last edited by manofthem; Jun 5, 2012 at 10:29 PM. Reason: error correction |

GPU overclocking is a function of the quality of your graphics card, its power and cooling system, and your power supply. However, a quality motherboard and a good overclock can assist you in reducing system bottlenecks and bring out more performance from a high end GPU.

I've had that one too.
Pretty nice board for the time...only thing that bothered me was the use of the second PCI ex if you wanted full x16 and VGA Switch Card went to the first PCI ex http://www.teknologji.net/2011/05/evilnom-retaliation/ This is my board paired with an PII X4 965...awesome couple! |
