Backing things up

Should I use the Windows 7 backup utility or do a RAID1 ? This will be a computer with just the 2 matching internal harddrives. I want something that is automatic & do not want to use an external drive.

Is the system setup already (Windows installed?) If so, Windows Backup is very easy to use and I believe you can set it on a schedule. I'm not certain but I think it compresses everything to save space, unlike RAID 1.

I've had problem with windows backup...as it will only allow you to bring back some files and settings if windows needs to be reinstalled...anything with a DRM or almost everything will have to be reinstalled as new...so if you want a mirror backup RAID1 is the way to go...

If it's not all that important then Windows backup is the way to go.

The system is not built yet but it will be next week, doing a little advance homework about the backups.
