I just ran across this and it looks extremely promising. I loved the X-Com games and this definitely seems to be a good successor. They just completed a kickstarter that raised $150,000+ for development, and the demo already looks extremely promising. You can get the demo at the kickstarter page here. Pre-Order is $20(retail will be $25), and pre-ordering gives you access to the developmental builds as well as the beta once it is started.
