Choosing a GTX 670

Hello, guys. I'm new to TPU and in general am a pretty nooby person when it comes to computers. I have recently built a computer but have yet to buy a graphics card. I am currently looking at the MSI PE, Asus TOP, and Gigabyte WF 670's, and I'm not sure which would be the best choice.

Asus - ASUS GTX670-DC2T-2GD5 GeForce GTX 670 2GB 256-bit ...

MSI - MSI N670 PE 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 670 2GB 256-bit GD...

Gigabyte - GIGABYTE GV-N670OC-2GD GeForce GTX 670 2GB 256-bit...

Thanks everyone!

All excellent cards, but I'd personally learn towards the ASUS DCII TOP

Welcome! Out of those three I would choose... another one, the ASUS DCU II non Top here:

ASUS GTX670-DC2-2GD5 GeForce GTX 670 2GB 256-bit G...

The top edition seems to have some problems as documented in various forums and I think you can overclock the non-Top edition to those clocks.

I personally like the lower priced Gigabyte card and the look of it, second would be Asus.

yeah this or any other non reference cards. the Reference ones are shit.

Evga FTW card or the Asus DirectCUII are what id choose.

Didn't notice you linked the MSI PE. In that case id get the MSI PE card.

I'd buy the MSI PE, without a doubt, it's the only one that has a chance to get voltage unlocked, and it's a Lightning PCB, you can't go wrong man

EDIT: Ok, I'd definitely get the 670, it will support voltage control up to 1.3v and that's a lot because all other 670s are voltage locked.
That GPU could well compete with voltage locked 680s atleast in theory (though I'm not sure about this)

quietest: asus
cheapest: gigabyte
best performing: random. no matter what you get, there are random variances among all the 670 cards. some do well, some do poorly, its just luck of the draw.
best warranty service: probably evga

so i would narrow it down to personal preference. do you value quiet over everything else? if so, asus. do you want the cheapest? get gigabyte. msi, well i've read it is pretty noisy too. but not sure if it is louder than gigabyte.

The Asus CUII TOP is the same price as the Zotac which has 4GB of vram instead of 2GB (at least in my country). The extra vram handy if you like to add mods and textures and the like.

EVGA GTX670 FTW or SC 4GB seem to be the best as far as I can tell (and are the 2 cards I am split between). The fact that they use the 680 PCB means better cooling for the most part, and the ability to use 680 blocks if H2O is your thing.

More memory on a card that doesn't have it with reference isn't always the best. These cards that have like 4GB of ram or for AMD that have 6gb(sapphires card that has yet to release) it increases memory latency which is then slower on the memory front.

I have both asus top and gigabytes. Asus can boost to 1300, gigagbytes can boost to 1200, if you don't think100mhz worth $30, go get gigabytes, that's all I can say.

if my GTX570 is anything to go by, i would certainly grab the Gigabyte or if you want to pay extra then get the MSI, i have had all three brands in the past and the Gigabyte has probabily won in terms of price-features every time..

They all run cool, the Gigabyte has a VERY low pitch noise at high fan speeds which makes it quieter and less annoying than the MSI and the ASUS
