Help: P8Z77-I Deluxe Daughterboard removal
I'm kind of in trouble, trying currently to attach my cpu cooler: Scythe Shuriken Big 2 Rev. B onto the motherboard, however The daughterboard and the ram sticks make the top-right corner impossible to attach the screw which tightens the cooler onto the motherboard backplate, only way around this as far as I can see is removing the daughterboard, since I can't attach the ram sticks after the cooler has been mounted.
Could anyone tell me how I can remove the VRM daughterboard please? I'm not very familier with it, and have tried googling it, looking for a removal guide, but unable to find one... Edit: The motherboard http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Int...P8Z77I_DELUXE/

i don't think u can take off the "Z77 ITX VCore Card" on the P877-I Deluxe, just take off ur cooler and put in ur memory and swamp the cooler back on.
it doesn't look like u can take it off actually, but i am not sure but i wouldn't do that myself. look here JJ from Asus don't got any problems with a big tower cooler and a big Asus Graphic card with a Direct CUII cooler in the board.

The cooler I have covers some of the vcore card and ram sticks, so I cannot "screw" the top-right screw without removing either the ram sticks or the vcore card... and if I remove the ram sticks, once the cooler is seated, I cannot attach the sticks to the board
although this person on this side has successfully assembled it, but doesn't mention any of the problems I seem to have http://www.overclock.net/t/1241916/c...77-i-deluxe/60 any ideas?

I'm also using Corsair Vengeance Lowprofile, however theres no room to attach it after the cooler is on, I'm pretty positive of that fact, since the copper tubes are in the path, theres really no room :S. I'm still in awe that this guy got the cooler on...

Theres a backplate, then a screw from the backplate inwards, on the inside theres a screw that atttaches to the backplate screw, then an additional screw-nut that attaches the cooler to the middle screw

Soory just noticed the pic is an AMD not intel board.
![]() The only thing that I can think of is to bend a screw driver 90 degrees just above the bit so you can go in through the side.
