System Specs

How to install windows xp in a new sata drive ?

Hi,
please tell me how to install windows xp in a sata HDD . I bought WD5000AAKX
my system specs - athlon II X3 450 & Asus M5A78L-M LX PLUS Socket AM3+ AMD 760G/SB710 Chipset ..

And if ever you can't get it to do it like it normally should e.g if your HDD is primary, go into BIOS and change your boot order. Put CD/DVD drive in first order and then reboot.

Set to IDE instead of AHCI in BIOS
Other option would be to install the AHCI drivers during the install of windows when it asks to.

There really isn't much benefit in installing the AHCI drivers if you are using a HDD.

use nlite to integrate sata drivers, burn a new xp cd

or put bios on ide mode
