waterblock mounting for 460 vs 465

Just a quick question, can't find the answer anywhere but can a waterblock specifically EK-FC470 fit on a gtx 460? I'm looking at buying one from "bot" on his fs thread. He had it on his 465 so I would think maybe its the same mounting? anyone know?

Thanks

The GTX 465 was just a cut-down GTX 470, thus they share the same PCB.
The GTX 460 on the other hand is completely different.

Thats right. The 460 is totally different. A block for a 465 will not work on a 460. You have to get one specifically for a 460. Is your 460 running that hot to where it needs it? putting water on a 460 just seems over kill.

ok thanks, I was just looking at adding the gpu block to my loop. No I don't really need it but having stuff run cooler is always good so i was thinking of it.
