How dumb is Corsair designers. They just ruined the look with stupid side vents for fans.
They do this all the time, and make it look terrible. |

Messed up
Can't believe how bad designed these cases are. A non-windowed case is a no-go. A perforated window is a quiet resentment against the customer.
My theory is that there are no real female beings in these companies. That means these guys are simply unable to emotionally grasp what a case modder wishes. And there are more Corsair sins like this windowed tragedy with a shower of shots. Like Graphite with this baby window. I mean does cost so much to make broader windows for us guys willing to show off our precious objects? I never ever use side panel fans. What should be the benefit? The air stream goes crazy inside the rig. On the other hand some cases a quite appealing. And I think about buying one for modding. Maybe Graphite with this ugly button on the top? No. Or Obsidian looking like a gravestone? Will still have to wait... Would be nice if: - they were made of aluminium for less weight - a bit under 60cm high like 55cm to fit into my desktop - with a big window covering nearly the whole side panel - deep cable routes and 3 cm for cablemanagement - had no preinstalled fans, as Corsair fans are garbage anyway - preinstalled Corsair Link and Led controller with undercover cables And: Is this the reason nearly all case companies show only pics of their cases out of an angle that hides the side panel, so no full side panel view? This makes me upset everytime they announce a new case. And the reviewers only show pics with zoom segments so you have to check heaps of fotos until you see the case as it is. I dunno about this case, but I just recently re-built a system in a 550D and I love that case. I can see my self using it on future builds for sure.

Corsair started out strong in the pc case sector with their 800 series...then went cheap-er. A repeat of their venture in power supplies...and as of late their memory.
The window edges look clean...but the buckshot holes do it in. I'm still waiting for that mini-itx pc case from Corsair... .Best Regards, Liquid Cool |

If you are talking about the 550d, there is space for two 140mm fans in the side panel. Or you can put the plastic/soundproofing foam cover on to have a quieter system. The 550d is built to be a silent case but can also be a performance case. |

Not digging the holes in the side panel.
Would think the fan placements at the top of the case would be enough. None the less I suppose if someone really wants this case and the holes in the side panel irks them, they can replace it. |

On a side note corsair sells a lot of pc parts for their cases
http://www.corsair.com/parts/case-parts.html For those with 300r's already who want a window, maybe soon they will sell just the side panel. |

Besides: the offered windowed Side Panels are not worth to buy. What they call a window I would call a peephole. |
