Video Issues After Removing GPU

I am having a strange issue with my motherboard/video out. I removed my 7970 and then manually reset CMOS (Jumpers on board) no luck. I used the CMOS reset button on the rear IO panel. No luck. I finally removed the battery for ~15 hours (I had to go overnight). Put the battery back in and tried to boot it up and still no on board video. Am I forgetting something, or maybe i've gone crazy...ideas?

Motherboard error - d6

See system specs.
