i sold my hd5870 with hr-03 cooler got 100 euro from
what new parts sould i invest it ? a 128gb pci-e ssd? anny idea's ?

My net connection is pretty bogged down right now, so I couldn't find the spec on that MB, but does it not support SATA II/III? The display is a bit smallish, but 100 euros is a better fit for the SSD price wise anyway.

SR2's are one hell of a hardware, it cannot be that it does not support the most common things such as SATA2. Yes, it does not support SATA3 but who does even give a pickle about it anyway? Answer is simple - buy an SSD if you really want it. If not - save it for something else. And for god's sake, overclock those bad boys (CPU's) will ya?

Personally with the setup in ur specs, I would buy a SSD. It would really bring the performance of your system up

I was given a Kingston HyperX 120GB SDD and im very impressed by the results so far

Yes I know, I was implying it should have at least SATA II support because he said "pci-e", which seemed strange.

Yeah I know Pci-Ex is a faster interface, esp vs SATA II, but I'm skeptical about how far $100 would go on a Pci-Ex SSD. When top brands start offering them at affordable prices in the latest Pci-Ex standards (even 2.0 for that matter), like we're seeing with SATA SSDs, then I think it will be more appealing.

There's certainly lots of potential given the speed of the interface though. Thus far though, the affordable Pci-Ex SSDs I've looked at, esp the OCZ shown above, are comparable to SATA III drives in price and performance. Certainly not 3-4 times faster.

This is one good example I narrowed it down to. Good price and write speed, but Sandforce controller, the same situation exists with SATA III SSDs.

mSATA is onnetbooks, some Z77 motherboards, a couple of itx boards with other chipsets as well. It is not quite the same as regular PCIe your VGAs go into.
