Need help fixing a tv/ monitor

Its a vizio sv421xvt. The tv stopped after we had a big storm and the neighbors place was struck by lightning and after the storm our vizo stopped working properly. The vizio logo will turn on a yellowish color but the screen won't turn. I checked the caps on the power supply and all the caps look fine so what else is there to look at?

Try unplugging the set for several hours, then plug it back in. You also should have it plugged into a decent surge protector. They aren't a guarantee against damage, but a lot better than just plugging into the wall. The kind to look for are the ones that protect ALL incoming lines. On a TV that primarily means the power cord AND antenna cable.

If that doesn't work you could try looking up the service menu that the techs use and resetting it to factory settings. If you by chance have an extended warranty though, have it checked by a tech instead.
