Unable to see N band networks

Why am I missing "802.11n Channel Width for band 5.0? I have an "N" capable wifi card.

I am unable to see 5GHz networks. So frustrating!!!

System Specs

The 6150 supports only the 2.4GHz band.

802.11n is how the signal is transmitted, not the band that it is on. So if it says "n capapable" it does not mean 5ghz, but rather how the data is tansmitted (most likely 2.4ghz with MIMO) 802.11bgn are all used on 2.4ghz, but 802.11a/n can also work on 5ghz but only if the device supports it. If you can't see 5ghz but you can see 2.4ghz, it's most likely not a 5ghz adapter.
