HSA Foundation Announces Six New Members
Today the Heterogeneous System Architecture (HSA) Foundation announced six new members. The HSA Foundation is pleased to welcome Apical, Arteris Inc., MulticoreWare Inc., Sonics, Symbio and Vivante Corporation to the membership roster. Each company adds expertise to the HSA ecosystem by assisting with research, development, production, manufacture, use, and the sale of HSA IP and heterogeneous computing software and solutions.
These new members have joined at different levels including: supporter, contributor and associate. Working closely with the founder members of AMD, ARM, Imagination Technologies, MediaTek Inc., Samsung Electronics and Texas Instruments (TI), the new members will contribute to the growing adoption of HSA in heterogeneous computing. “As the word gets out about the HSA Foundation, we’re experiencing a groundswell of support from a wide range of companies that are interested in power-efficiency and heterogeneous computing,” said Greg Stoner, vice president and managing director of the HSA Foundation. “HSA will enable the next era of computing from mobile and embedded to HPC and cloud computing, but it requires having a full value chain in place from silicon to IP to ISVs.” New Member Quotes Supporter

id swear Intel and Nvidia dont sign up just out of spite, I cant make sense out of them holding out yet still moveing towards the same goal, even if they have their own standards and i expect they do/will instead, they will miss out on business and possibly sales if they dont get in on it.

They don't want to compete (play fair). This is an affront to them and their greed. Their profits will have to suffer (or investors see a decline coming and throw a shit fit) before they give in.

It has been proven that intel has done things illegally. The problem lays in that there was little or no consequences. Quote:
