I'm going to go drown myself with the knowledge that people are willing to pay those prices..
I'm sorry, please, for your own good.. LEARN TO SAVE MONEY... Then buy it.. You are giving away your cash.. 670 is a 400.00 card.. Oh. he's out there? I figured with a name like John and idk, thought he was in the US.. Still 700 for a 400 dollar card is normal out there? ouch...

You could get it from amazon and use one of the freight forwarding company is US (like Shipito) and ship to nz, even with shipping cost it will be like $200 cheaper than what you paid for

MSI has many different versions of the same card. They may very well bin their video cards based on performance. The better performing (overclocking, etc.) are reserved for the twin frozr, lightning, etc. versions.
I can't find a review for the card. Do you have a link to the exact card you purchased? |

Its not like the reference design is bad, ur card is at where it supposed to be, and it should be at and above the advertised spec. Anything beyond that has nothing to blame on the manufacture.
The reference design for the 670 is pretty crappy for Overclocking IMO, the short PCB doesn't allow many components on it, therefore it can't support a higher OC due to lack of power phase, capacitors, etc. than a custom PCB such as msi power edition. I had anEVGA 670 ftw, with maximum boost I was hitting 1250mhz, eventjough it's still reference design, but it uses a longer version PCB from the 680. And btw the reference design cooling kinda sucks compare to msi twin froza IV So in your situation seems to be a lil below average result, but still it is within spec, |

I cannot find a review for it however it is a reference card (with a small bump in OC clocks). You could look at reviews for any brand reference card and they would be accurate.
Fact of the matter is, your card is just not a good overclocker. Sorry, these things happen. If you aren't satisfied with the card, try returning it. There is really nothing we can do about it unfortunately. |

As far as I remember, his card didn't work much at all at stock settings. Yeah, he got resets, black screens, etc. at stock clocks.
Try to find your packaging, it's always important to keep it. Honestly though, your card works and you can even overclock it a little. Video cards sold are designed to run at stock clocks and yours works. |

i think i found my video card sweetspot in terms of overclocking.
it seems to be stable at 1080mhz core and +550mhz memory. its shame i cant increase the core higher. |
