X800Se OC With Giant3Cooling
Well I put on my Sapphire X800Se Hybrid a Tt Giant3.
Now I had overclocked the card to 519/500MHz and reached about 9092Points to 3dmark03. The max temp revealed from my sensor is 40°C, the max temp revealed from Atitool is 50°C playing HL2, CSS, NFSU2. The old max temp (with stock cooling) under overclock was 73°C. What do you say? OC more? Or stay here?

hahahah yeah if you know the core can take the temperature just hit the find max on atitool and see what it comes up with... more is always better
unless there is something wrong with your cooling.

Impressive! Have you hardmodded and flashed for all 16 pipes?

No... i haven't hardmodded nothing. Atitool crash to 544Mhz but it was with the stock cooling. But I sometimes ask me if the aluminium block of the giant3 may have damaged the sensor inside the core... 50°C seem to me very few! But the card doesn't crash or make any artifacts. It goes very well, the only worrie that i have is for the gddr3 memory: i put for every chip 2 copper heat spreader with a biadesive tape. It's not a thermoconductive tape, but it's very thin, and so the heat is spreaded well, at 500MHz the spreaders are boiling after 1 or 2 hours of Counter Strike source or NFSU2.
Well, what about hardmodding? I've read that with softmod it's impossible to unlock the other pipelines, because they are laser burned, and when I have take away the stock cooling I have seen the black point on the chip (so they are really burned)... Hardmodding can unlock them?

As far as i know there COULD be a way to hardmod it, but noone knows HOW and noone tried it.
