Selling used 580s

Greetings,

I'm curious about something so thought to throw the question out there. I've got 2 580s I've been running in SLI & have been thinking of getting a single 680. What would be a good price to sell the 580s either together or single for?

Thanks in advance,
Main

Between $225-$250 is a fair price, although I have seen 580s go as low as $200 for fast sales.

Really with the 660's release and its performance nearly on par with exceeding the 580, the resell value of the cards have plummeted. You should off load them as soon as possible.

Try and sell them on their compute power. Maybe a folder would appreciate them?

is this an itch or what? it's a side-grade at best and you'd be paying upwards of 100$ in the swap-out. You're much better off waiting until next gen when your 2 cards sure won't be worth as much, but the upgrade would actually be an upgrade. So if it were me I'd keep the 580's, and save everything I could manage until the next best thing comes out, or the 690's plummit in price and are grab-able at what you've saved up.

u answered ur own question. For him to get any value out of his cards he needs to sell now. For him right now selling 2 gtx 580's and grabbing one 660 makes sense financially while still being able to game fine.

$200 would be a good starting point. I've seen them go as low as $175 locally.

that's a severe downgrade, dual 580's out pace a single 680 in most cases.

also a 660 at the next gen prolly won't fetch any more than 2 580's would. So no that's horrible horrible advice.

I hope you get a buyer and soon, now is the time to sell, about the price will all depend in how fast you are willing to let them go or if you are patient and would want a some what substantial amount for your cards.

It's hard to believe what I'm about to write, but believe it or not:
Beginning of this month i sold my POV GTX460 1GB TGT Charged Edition for $295

Yap some one paid me the cash for a simple fact that its something that i was using in my PC, most people say that if i used a computer part then they would buy it if i am willing to sell. So i sold it to a cousin of mine for $295

I then placed an order for EVGA GTX670 FTW coming in probably end month
