should be able to. i think the only requirement for 3d is 120hz... it'll do 60fps for every other line (that's how they do the 3d effect, 2 separate images in one interlaced into each other... its why you need the glasses)

though don't expect every game to run 60fps.

you will have to turn off any advanced features on the tv though, like true motion, blur settings, etc b/c it will cause severe input lag when gaming. this is b/c the tv post processes these effects into the image after it runs through the tv's ... processor... and it's not fast enough to do it on the fly. still all of that is done by your game engine/driver settings anyway so its not needed on the tv end anyway.

ya NVs 3D Vision compatibility list is not updated (their 3D Goggles), you may want to check out the NV forums if possible

GTX 560 is not enough juice to run 3D man. It's take a whole lot more GPU power to run games in 3D.

to improve compatibility if your tv is higher than 120hz, set to to 120hz in the display properties in windows... since nVidia specifies 120hz this may be the only compatible refresh rate. and again turn off any fancy features your tv has...

here's a gpu list

considering the goggles use 60hz for each eye

hmmm... Debojitk you might want to take your pc to a friend's house and see how it doesn't on one of their tv's if they have an HD TV similar to the LG you want to buy. nVidia's supported display list is very short and outdated

I believe the TV will work but thing is if he intends on using their 3D Goggles it is unknown if they will work or not.

Hi Thanks for the replies
But I think it is a passive 3d display, and have no concept of 120 hz refresh rate.
They come with some tridef software that sees to provide the compatibility with nvidia cards
There is a concept of nvidia 3d tv play. Can it be possible to make the tv compatible with the card via this 3d tv play s/w.

they could be for 3d blueray and 3d youtube, but i might work with games too. not sure exactly how that works. I did look up the model of the LG and it is 120hz refresh rate.

Guys,
I was reading that in order to enable 3d tv play the s/w itself verifies the existence of 3d vision installation on the system by checking the usb ir dongle availability.
Can u please confirm on the above statement. Currently nvidia forum is down, so i cant even ask them.
Also can anyone let me know that the hdmi version on zotac 560 card is hdmi 1.4(a).
Tridef says it supports connectivity with 3d tv only via hdmi 1.4(a). It also says it would support radeon cards only.
So is it possible to play 3d games on passive 3d tv without buying the nvidia 3d vision kit that is useless, or using tridef.

I deadly need these info. Possibly i will buy a tv this weekend.
Thanks in advance.
Debojit
