Samsung and HTC to block sale of iPhone 5 in US/EU

Apple may have come out on top when a jury ruled that dozens of Samsung phones infringed on Apple patents and trade dress, but that*doesn’t*mean Samsung and other Android OEMs will simply let the new iPhone 5 hit the market without a bit or resistance. There are at least a dozen Android powered devices being prepped to battle the iPhone 5 in the marketplace, but HTC and Samsung may be holding trump cards that could give them a legal edge to block the iPhone 5 from ever hitting store shelves.

It may force apple to settle for a reasonable amount and force the two companies to come to some sort of agreement.

Don't forget pressure coming from Microsoft and its partners with Windows Phone 8 too. Microsoft likely wants to avoid lawsuits but Windows Phone violates some of the broad-reaching patents Apple claims ownership to. Microsoft's legal team will be watching the battle closely.

way to put a worm in Apples Plans. I honestly like Droids conveniences better than apples. Heck My bro which was an avid Iphone user says he is moving to droid as the iphone 5 doesnt bring very much new to the table and isnt worth the price tag either

most of their stuff is proprietary, plus this new iphone doesnt add much at all to the table of being newer than even a 3GS.
