Well pretty much since BAC's release on the PC it has been on sale, so the most interested probably already own a copy.

Not an entry, I've already been lucky enough to win one of the give-aways.

I watched the Godkiller movie the other day. It's Starwars. Main hero loses an arm, has mystical power to control things, and the "teacher" dies to offer the main hero motivation. Startwars+Porn-Incest=Godkiller. Oh god, I just divided my zero....

Themailman is still on these forums. Whether that's a joke, a demonstration that hell can freeze over (I can't believe the change myself, it just seems like the aliens sucked out the crazy from the old persona), or the demonstration that each of us is fundamentally good with a troll inside us, I don't know. I'm taking it as a sign that irony and insanity are the only two infinites in this universe.

Researchers have found that the average size of male genitalia has shrunk 10% in the past 50 years. Imagine (male audience), right now, that somewhere a doctor is comparing the size of your junk to that of your father's. I propose every one of these researchers have the sense slapped back into them. Joke or sad, I don't know.

AMD is now worth less than Gamestop. The company that buy games at 1/6 or less of retail, resells them at 5/6 retail, and is "destroying" the gaming market is worth more than pioneers of the silicon revolution. I'm laughing between bouts of extreme rage...

It's safer to play with fireworks than to drive a car or own a dog. More states ban the sale of fireworks than deny application for drivers licenses, or refuse pet ownership. I propose everyone who gets a dog must first safely discharge 7 bottle rockets to prove that they are capable.

I'd really like the game, though I already won before... so I'll just post something I think is interesting.

Real-world application of both Einsteins general theory of relativity from speed and the bend of space-time from earths own gravity

Pretty cool stuff. http://www.astronomy.ohio-state.edu/...Unit5/gps.html

Quote:
The current GPS configuration consists of a network of 24 satellites in high orbits around the Earth. Each satellite in the GPS constellation orbits at an altitude of about 20,000 km from the ground, and has an orbital speed of about 14,000 km/hour (the orbital period is roughly 12 hours - contrary to popular belief, GPS satellites are not in geosynchronous or geostationary orbits). The satellite orbits are distributed so that at least 4 satellites are always visible from any point on the Earth at any given instant (with up to 12 visible at one time). Each satellite carries with it an atomic clock that "ticks" with an accuracy of 1 nanosecond (1 billionth of a second). A GPS receiver in an airplane determines its current position and heading by comparing the time signals it receives from a number of the GPS satellites (usually 6 to 12) and triangulating on the known positions of each satellite. The precision is phenomenal: even a simple hand-held GPS receiver can determine your absolute position on the surface of the Earth to within 5 to 10 meters in only a few seconds (with differential techiques that compare two nearby receivers, precisions of order centimeters or millimeters in relative position are often obtained in under an hour or so). A GPS receiver in a car can give accurate readings of position, speed, and heading in real-time!

To achieve this level of precision, the clock ticks from the GPS satellites must be known to an accuracy of 20-30 nanoseconds. However, because the satellites are constantly moving relative to observers on the Earth, effects predicted by the Special and General theories of Relativity must be taken into account to achieve the desired 20-30 nanosecond accuracy.

Because an observer on the ground sees the satellites in motion relative to them, Special Relativity predicts that we should see their clocks ticking more slowly (see the Special Relativity lecture). Special Relativity predicts that the on-board atomic clocks on the satellites should fall behind clocks on the ground by about 7 microseconds per day because of the slower ticking rate due to the time dilation effect of their relative motion.

Further, the satellites are in orbits high above the Earth, where the curvature of spacetime due to the Earth's mass is less than it is at the Earth's surface. A prediction of General Relativity is that clocks closer to a massive object will seem to tick more slowly than those located further away (see the Black Holes lecture). As such, when viewed from the surface of the Earth, the clocks on the satellites appear to be ticking faster than identical clocks on the ground. A calculation using General Relativity predicts that the clocks in each GPS satellite should get ahead of ground-based clocks by 45 microseconds per day.

The combination of these two relativitic effects means that the clocks on-board each satellite should tick faster than identical clocks on the ground by about 38 microseconds per day (45-7=38)! This sounds small, but the high-precision required of the GPS system requires nanosecond accuracy, and 38 microseconds is 38,000 nanoseconds. If these effects were not properly taken into account, a navigational fix based on the GPS constellation would be false after only 2 minutes, and errors in global positions would continue to accumulate at a rate of about 10 kilometers each day! The whole system would be utterly worthless for navigation in a very short time. This kind of accumulated error is akin to measuring my location while standing on my front porch in Columbus, Ohio one day, and then making the same measurement a week later and having my GPS receiver tell me that my porch and I are currently about 5000 meters in the air somewhere over Detroit.
And the funniest T-Shirt I've seen recently?

Can this be my "official" post? or does it even matter...

Me and my friend have been working on a '75 jeep CJ5 that he kindof got from his brother. (don't tell him) The body has been rotting off of it for quite some time apparently; the previous owner tried to fix it with aluminum foil stuffed in the holes and wire mesh glued to the dents. Well, its getting so bad now, that the body is no longer attached to the frame; which is incredibly disconcerting on steep hills and such. (I could tell another mount had detached when the steering wheel came back far enough to hit me on a bump) The body also rocks enough to pull the clutch linkage apart and rev the engine when going over bumps. So the first time this happened, I went through a patch of 12 foot cedars and a medium sized fence; Great fun. It's just the oil pan and gas tank leak now, and the exhaust header is in multiple peices. but thats fine, gallon of gas and 2 quarts of oil everytime you fire it up

Lol. I'm broke too, and I haven't ever played any of the Batmans; was actually about to get it when I saw this contest and decided to wait and see lol.

(I've also never won any contest before; unless piano concertos count; but don't factor that in...)

Edit: would love to be included in bundle giveaway!

Come on man, just give the damn thing away will you,? Everyones lost interest cos its taking too long, your bending us all out of shape, just kidding, dont really care, give it to some kid in a 3rd world country, its a kids game really anyway isnt it?

On a side note, guess what im playing now, rainbow six 3 raven shield lofl [circa 2003], bloody ancient, found it at an opp shop for 5 bucks brand new, couldnt resist.

Man after battlefail 3 and call of boring black outs im almost over all these generic 5 hr long-fps shooters now anyways.

I might give some more games away myself i think, why not, its a great thing in life to be able to share, personally, i take great pleasure in it, dont care what others think or do.

I don't care how long he does his giveaway, it was just a comment to bump his thread.

I'm not entering, but I did want to share a story I shared in a previous post (here)

Story... hehehe
I had an Old guy ask me years ago, “When should I upgrade?” I told him when the tasks you do on your pc feel slow. Example: Soon after that he wanted me to upgrade his computer. The next day after I upgraded his machine he calls me and says, “On my old pc when I got up in the morning I could go over to it, and start it up. Then go use the bathroom, go to the kitchen fix a cup of coffee, and grab a snack. When I got back to my pc the desktop would be coming up and when I sat down it was ready…. Now when I press the power button and before I walk away from the pc.. I’m at my desktop ready to go…”. I responded to this with, “That’s great so what’s the problem?”… He said, “But now, when am I suppose to use the bathroom, and get coffee and a snack?”... lol

Keep the posts positive, its discouraging to come into the thread and see some of these replies. Every time I read a complaint or trash post (not only in my threads, but others) I loose more and more of the motivation I had to run these things.

I'll close the thread on Friday or earlier, get your entries in.

Ok sorry, fair enough!

Just trying to stir a bit of interest and keep it alive etc , went about it the wrong way.

Youve done a nice thing here and regardless of who wins you deserve respect, i personally highly admire folks who have no trouble sharing and giving, couldnt care less what others think , seriously, it is a damn fine thing and it leads the way for others to follow, the only good thing about having "more" in life, is that it gives one the opportunity to "give " more, and i pity those who find it hard to share! ,.
