Computer Freezing, Components HOT!

Hello all, thanks for taking a look. I have two 7970 3GB Video Cards.

I play BF3 and other graphically intensive games perfectly. Lately, i've been playing WoW, which really doesn't require a good computer.

Lately, it's been freezing and making me hold the power button to restart. I can't even pull up task manager or anything.

My GPU peaks up to 100C, and that's when i stop using it and get scared. It's EXTREMELY hot, yet the bottom card isn't as bad.

I assume it has relation to the top of the two crossfired cards getting EXTREMELY hot.
Specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60 GHz 16 GB Corsair Vengeance RAM 2x Crossfired Nvidia 7970 3GB Video Cards H80 Corsair Liquid Cooling ASUS P9X79 WS Motherboard
Thanks for the help!

That's really hot on those GPU's, how's the airflow in your case?

What coolers they use on those Nvidia gpus?

Can you take a pic of those cards so we can see the air space?
Are they OCed or modded?

Wow is overwhelming your card. JK

But seriously if your overclocking those card put them to stock.
In CCC Performance/ Overdirve you can turn up your GPU fans. Stock there are not even close to full speed.

I dont think they do. I overclock mine and it gets to 71 if I dont turn the fans up and I cant even hear them. If I manually turn it up to 85% it runs at 64 and it sound like a jet engine RPM is 4200. I could be wrong though. Maybe they kick in at higher temps

My upper card gets hot as shit as well, but not that hot...I looked up your board and it looks like there should be an entire slot in between...Especially in WoW. If any game isn't going to utilize cards...

Is the case not well ventilated or?

Overheating

Here is a pic of my setup - http://i.imgur.com/3YoUc.jpg . Small amount of dust, but nothing serious. Not overclocked or anything at all.

that CPU fan looks like its set to blow the air back inside the case. you probably just have them set up wrong.

also, turn on Vsync.

I concur that fan is definitely blowing into the case. Also agree with V-sync

I actually use my H80 as pulling air from outside n in to the case and it just exhausts from the top. Keeps the cpu cooler and doesn't affect my 7970. So while it will help to turn the thing around, still shouldn't make a 20+ C degrees diff

Have you tried playing with ur side panel off?

Also agree with vsync

Your picture shows that everything is fine layout wise, hell that's a Switch 810 so your GPUs should be cool as a cucumber. Something doesn't add up. Are your PCI slots blocked from behind?

Test each card individually and see what happens, rule out a problematic card.
